Palimpsest at two New European Bauhaus events
The project PALIMPSEST has been selected to take part in two key international events of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. These occasions offer international visibility to the project, which exemplifies NEB’s values, while contributing to the transformation of our living environments through cultural and ecological innovation.
30 June 2025 – Seville: The new JRC – a symbol of the New European Bauhaus
PALIMPSEST will be presented at the official event “The new JRC – a symbol of the New European Bauhaus”, hosted at the Pabellón de la Navegación in Seville.
The event marks the beginning of construction of the new Joint Research Centre (JRC) building — the first carbon-positive building of the European Commission, and a concrete symbol of the NEB’s core values: sustainability, beauty, and inclusion.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, along with Commissioners for Startups, Research and Innovation, Ekaterina Zaharieva, and for Environment, Water Resilience and Circular Economy, Jessika Roswall, will join the event.
Osaka – Expo 2025
The project PALIMPSEST is featured in the European Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, where the European Commission is showcasing the New European Bauhaus. PALIMPSEST is presented through a video installation, illustrating its role in driving sustainable and culturally rooted landscape transformation across Europe.
